Attendance

At New Horizons Academy we believe that regular attendance is one of the most important factors in a child's educational success. Attending school every day helps children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Building a Strong Foundation
Consistent attendance ensures that your child doesn't miss out on key lessons, activities, and opportunities to build essential skills. Every day at school provides valuable learning experiences that contribute to their overall development.

Promoting Academic Success
Students who attend school regularly are more likely to perform better academically. Missing school can lead to gaps in learning, making it harder for students to keep up with their peers. Regular attendance helps maintain continuity in learning and supports strong academic progress.

Developing Good Habits
By prioritising school attendance, students develop positive habits such as responsibility, time management, and self-discipline. These habits set the foundation for lifelong success, both in and out of the classroom.

Social and Emotional Growth
School is not just about academics. It's also about building relationships, learning teamwork, and developing social skills. Regular attendance helps children engage with their peers, participate in school activities, and grow emotionally and socially.

Support for Our School Community
When students are present, the entire school community benefits. Consistent attendance helps create a dynamic, engaging, and supportive learning environment where everyone thrives.

We encourage all families to make every effort to ensure their children attend school regularly and on time. Together, we can help each child reach their full potential.

School Absence
